How it works

A reading isn't a one-off answer. It's something to return to.

I Ching Practice uses the cast as a starting point. You read the text, note what stands out, and look again later at what stayed with you.

Start freely

You can ask a question and read the reading without an account.

Save in the basic path

With a free account you save up to 5 readings in your basic life path.

Go deeper with premium

Premium opens more room, notes, returning, patterns and Taīo.

1. Ask an open question

Ask about stance, timing or direction rather than a simple yes or no. The more open the question, the more a reading can show you.

2. Read the movement

Look first at the opening figure. Then read the changing lines. The resulting hexagram shows which figure emerges from that change.

3. Save and return

A reading becomes more useful when you read it again later. The basic life path saves up to 5 readings; premium adds notes, room to reflect and room to return.

4. Not every phase needs a new cast

Sometimes waiting, noting or rereading is better than casting again. So the practice may also point you back to what's already there.

5. What this is and is not

I Ching Practice helps you examine meaning, timing and stance. The service does not make decisions for you and does not replace medical, legal, financial or therapeutic guidance.

6. The three layers

Classical reads the cast. Reflective saves what you note later. Hybrid sets the two side by side without mixing them up.
